About Claudia

Hi Fellow Traveller,

I'm Claudia. Some people know me by another name now: Ms. Terrapin.

I didn't grow up a Deadhead. I originally trained as a classical musician in a conservatory, then changed careers to technology and eventually became an Agile Coach. For years, Grateful Dead music was just background noise to someone else's love, until it wasn't.

Until it became the thing that carried me through the hardest and most tender chapters of my life.

Somewhere along the way, I started making art and poetry out of it — pieces I've shown at Burning Man's Center Camp and at LoveBurn.

Turns out love needs somewhere to go, and for me, it went into color and paint, canvas and resin, journaling and poetry as much as it went into these letters.

These 52 letters are my Road Trip of the Soul — a true story about love, about the people who change us forever, and about what it means to keep going when everything shifts beneath you.

There's grief in these pages, and there's real love and joy, too — sometimes in the very same letter. That's what I've learned this music, and this community, can hold: both at once.

I wrote these letters because healing isn't a straight line, and because some stories are too important to keep to myself. If you're here, maybe you're on your own road, too.

Welcome. Get kozy. Hop on the bus.

I'm your bus driver,

Claudia, (Ms. Terrapin) 🧡🐢

What’s Inside the Miracle Box?

Conversation Between Mr. and Ms. Terrapin and the Wise Hawk

“They've been talking about it for so long. Eyes of the World is getting a shower… and here I am, watching the rain, watching the rain…”
— Mr. Terrapin

“Here Comes the Rain.”
— The Hawk

“I looked up at the sky and said it aloud before I even knew why: It surely looks like rain. Later that night, I searched the words and discovered that Bob Weir had already written them—as though he had been standing there with me. But I couldn’t finish the line the way he did. So I wrote my own ending instead: I’ll still sing you love songs, written in the 52 letters of your name.”

— Ms. Terrapin
